1. The address of the nameserver you told your networking software is incorrect. Check your nameserver address, and make sure that it is correct.
2. Your nameserver is temporarily down. Try back later.
3. You mistyped the address to look up, or you mistyped the DNS server name in your setup, check the typing.
4. The Winsock.dll file you are using is old, try getting the newest version, or using the patches available.
The Web site can not be located.
Click on the "Stop" button, if Netscape or the Mosaic Icon if NCSA Mosaic is at the top of the application.
If over a minute has elasped and you have not seen a change in the loading of the information.
If Netscape is being used: Click the STOP! Sometimes this will display the information.
If NCSA Mosaic is being used: Click the NCSA Icon at the top of the page.
1. The server your Mosaic client sends request to is too busy or down.
2. The network in between your Mosaic client and the server is down.
3. The setup is not correct in your winsock.dll.
4. The setup is not correct in the proxy gateway that your Mosaic client sends request to.
