In the initially stages of re-building credit, the oil company cards are easiest to obtain. They usually start you off with a small limit. Some of the major oil companies who issue credit cards are Texaco, Mobil, Shell, Exxon, etc. These are the easiest cards to obtain when first re establishing credit.
Department store charge cards are next in line as the least difficult to obtain. The easiest of the department store cards to get would have to be J.C. Penny. Wards would be the next easiest to obtain then Sears. Sears is a good department store card to have if you desire their new Discover card.
